A Time to Remember…On All-Saints Sunday evening, October 27, we will remember and celebrate the lives of our family members who have passed away during the past year (since October 2018).  Through songs, prayers and scripture readings, we will honor those who were part of

Great news! WFMC has the honor of being chosen the drop off site for Jessamine County. We need many volunteers to staff the drop site during the week of November 12-19, serving to greet, take the boxes, pack boxes in larger containers, and prepare them for their next

Sunday, October September 17
8:30 & 10:50 a.m. worship services, Sanctuary – Brent and Colleen Weaver, OMS Missionaries

Brent and Colleen (Fitch) Weaver serve in Kiev, Ukraine, with different ministry emphases within One Mission Society (OMS). Colleen facilitates disciple-making through theological education in her role as the OMS coordinator of Leadership and Discipleship Development. Colleen supports, encourages, and equips those who serve in discipleship and leadership development around the world. Colleen is also studying towards her Ph.D.
Brent primarily works in making disciples among Ukrainian young adults with the aim of developing a network of multiplying churches. Brent also serves as a mentor for a church planting team in Estonia.

Eduardo and Cindy Angelo, speaking

Eduardo and Cindi Angelo have planted and pastored two churches near Lisbon, Portugal, since 2000. They focus on planting pioneer churches and reaching the lost, then training new Christians and releasing them to be leaders of small groups and future churches.  (Please note that WFMC is planning a short-term mission trip to Portugal next spring (March 29 through April 7, 2019) during which team members will work with the Angelos. For more information, be sure to attend the Portugal trip seminar offered during the Sunday School hour Oct 14 and again on Oct 21.)

Ladies’ Mug-n-Muffin with FMWM Creative Access Country missionary speaking.  As we have in the past, we will sip something soothing from our mugs and munch on yummy pastries while our speaker shares how God is calling her and her family to serve Him in a very difficult place.  Afterwards, we will have a time of prayer for her.

Sunday, October 21st

Freedom Sunday

On September 29, we observe Freedom Sunday, remembering in our prayers, giving and action the estimated 40 million people who are trapped in slavery around the world. Freedom Sunday brings together communities all around the world as a united, hope-filled, justice-driven movement of real hope.
