The season of Lent – the Church’s time of preparation for Resurrection Day – has often been described as a desert…a time of solitude, longing, self-examination and lonliness. The Lord meets with us in special ways in life’s lonely times though, which makes them, though hard, good. Our Lenten series for 2026 takes a look at the desert life of Israel follwing their release from Egypt and the ways the Lord met and worked with them.
