Christians have a unique perspective on our world.  We do not worship the earth, for it is the creation of an almighty God.  The worship of the earth would be idolatry to us.

Yet, because the earth and everything in it is the Lord’s, we do respect and care for it as it’s been entrusted to us to steward, which means we do all we can to preserve, protect and conserve the broken, yet good creation we enjoy as God’s gift to us.  We take care to not abuse, personally or corporately, our environment.

In this vein, we recognize Earth Day and occupy all possible common ground with all our friends and neighbors who are also concerned with creation care.
