Spring Renewal Services, 2018 – Tim Tennent

This spring, we are very pleased to have Dr. Tim Tennent as our speaker for our annual revival and renewal services, schedule for March 4 – 7. Please pray for him, and for us, as we prepare for this special time of hearing from the Lord.

A little about Dr. Tennent: Timothy C. Tennent has served as president of Asbury Seminary since July 2009. Prior to his coming to ATS, Dr. Tennent was the Professor of World Missions and Indian Studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where he served since 1998. Ordained in the United Methodist Church in 1984, he has served as pastor of churches in Georgia, and as long-term interim pastor to several of the largest churches in New England. Since 1989, he has taught annually as an adjunct professor at the New Theological College in Dehra Dun, India. Tim speaks frequently in conferences around the country and throughout the world. Dr. Tennent has degrees from Gordon-Conwell, Princeton Theological Seminary and from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, and has authored many books and articles

Tim’s wife, Julie, is a church pianist and organist, and is active in Friendship International in Lexington. The Tennents have two children, Jonathan and Bethany. Jonathan works as the Office Manager for Okaya, a Japanese company in Lexington, KY. Bethany is serving as a missionary to the Alagwa people with AIM in Tanzania.

Services are Sunday morning (8:30 and 10:50 a.m.) and evening (6:00 p.m.) March 4, and March 5-7 nightly at 7:00 p.m.
