Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lenten season for observant Christians. It is traditionally a time of fasting and prayer in preparation for receiving or reaffirming baptism at Easter. For some Christians, Lent is a time to think about one’s life choices and mortality, as well as reflect on life directions. It serves as a wake-up call for some Christians. There are also those who choose this time of the year to make special donations to charities or take part in charity events as a way to grow closer to God.
Come and worship on Ash Wednesday, February 14.
You can arrive anytime between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. and take a self-guided tour through 9 stations of prayer and reflection that focus on the Spiritual Disciplines that marked Jesus life. The stations will take about 40 minutes to complete and will be set up in the sanctuary, foyer, and the main level of Building B.
